The recently launched learning platform for professional services starts 2022 with 10 new law and accountancy clients, poised to continue propelling firms to be one step ahead on emerging issues, such as innovation, performance, productivity, client-care, ESG, diversity, and recruitment.

20th January 2022, LONDON – The Professional Alternative, the UK’s new online learning platform for professional services, begins 2022 with a strong client portfolio just months after product launch.

The learning platform had established relationships with 10 law and accountancy organisations: BKL, Birkett Long, B P Collins, Gerald Edelman, Kreston Reeves, MAPD Group, Nexa Law, Old Mill, Thrings, and Town Legal.

Firms are under significant pressure to modify how they deliver business support to improve margins and accelerate innovation.

The Professional Alternative supports leaders of professional services firms with solutions to emerging challenges, such as supporting and motivating staff in a hybrid environment, digitally transforming the firm, implementing a D&I strategy, or investing in new technologies.

Through subscription-based learning, the platform boosts efficiency and effectiveness by giving the entire firm access to over 700 resources that help upskill, retain, and energise people through:

  • Learning content
  • Skills development frameworks
  • Best practice guides
  • Policy documents
  • Hindsight advice

New content is constantly added via The Professional Alternative’s in-house editorial team and a panel of 150+ industry expert contributors, ensuring materials and relevant and topical. The Professional Alternative also announced strategic content partnerships with RSGi and theGroGroup in 2021.
RSGi Limited is a think-tank for the legal industry that focuses on resilience, sustainability, growth and innovation for law firms, in-house legal teams and law companies around the globe.

We are excited to be part of a venture with so much potential. It is an idea, which fulfils a pressing need for accessible, standardised information and expertise on how to run a professional services business. It is amazing that no one has thought of it before. It will democratise innovation and drive up standards across the board” said Reena SenGupta, Managing Director, RSGi.

theGrogroup is a consulting firm that helps professional services to drive performance, wellbeing, connection, and engagement.

We are delighted to be working with Sarah Katherine, Steve, Derek and their team at the Professional Alternative Group. The industry has never had such a need for cutting edge, short, sharp, tailored content that the platform provides and we are so excited to be part of that service. I believe this will shape the way that firms select and manage many of their back-office functions – and for those responsible for staff engagement and the L&D community this represents real progress in terms of what a firm can offer” said Paul Richmond, MD, theGrogroup.

The Professional Alternative extends a warm welcome to its new users and looks forward to empowering the professional services in 2022.

It’s great to see such a great rate of take-up – from superb businesses too. The consistent feedback we are hearing is that there is a real gap in the market for high-quality sector focussed practical material. The interest in eLearning is huge as well, given the increase in the hybrid market” said Derek Southall, Co-Founder of The Professional Alternative.
